Melon

Ingredient

  1. 1 large watermelon (preferably with seeds)


Preparation

Wash the skin with some mild soap solution, then slice it anyway you prefer. I eat a whopping 1/8 of a large watermelon when I can find them.




TIPS

You can choose any melon you prefer. It can’t get any simpler than this!!

Usually ripe watermelons make a nice ‘thud sound’ when you tap them. Others melons need to start to give off a sweet aroma, mainly around the stem and a little ‘give‘ at that end too. They are best eaten when they are ripe, and they become deliciously sweet.  


Melons are a pre-digested food, so best to eat in the morning - if you eat later in the day, any other undigested food in the stomach may be pushed out, causing discomfort.
